Test vs Live Mode
Each Partnersify company connects to either Stripe Test/Sandbox or Stripe Live, not both. Plan your testing accordingly.
Since you can create unlimited merchant accounts inside Partnersify, you can create one company and connect your Stripe Sandbox account, then later go to Settings and click + New Company to create a new company for your live Stripe account.
Connect via Stripe Marketplace app
Stripe connection happens through the Partnersify Stripe Marketplace app from Setup → Install tracking. The mode you connect in (Sandbox/Test vs Live) is stored on your company record.
Sandbox vs legacy Stripe Test Mode
When testing Partnersify, use Stripe's Sandbox environment over the legacy dashboard Test Mode toggle.
Legacy Test Mode shares account IDs with Live mode, which will mean you can't create another company in Partnersify for your Live account (until you disconnect your Legacy Test account). Sandbox gives you a separate account ID, closer to how production behaves.
Why one company cannot switch Test ↔ Live
When you first connect Stripe, Partnersify records whether that company is Test or Live. If you try to connect the opposite mode later, you will see an error.
To go live: create a new company in Settings, connect your Live Stripe account, and reconfigure your portal and tracking. Your test company and its data stay isolated.
Starting fresh in Live mode
- Create a new company in Settings → New Company
- Complete Setup → Affiliate portal and Setup → Install tracking with your Live Stripe account
- Install the pixel on your production site
- Re-invite affiliates to the new portal URL
Does test data mix with live data?
No. Test and Live companies are fully separate: sales, affiliates, commissions, and usage do not cross over.
Affiliates who signed up on a test portal must sign up again on your live portal when you launch.
