Refunds and Chargebacks

When a sale is refunded or disputed in Stripe, Partnersify automatically reverses the associated commissions.

Full reversal on any refund

Policy: if a sale has any refund, even a partial one, Partnersify fully reverses all commissions on that sale.

Negative commission entries create a deficit the original amounts, which protects you if commissions were already marked due. This deficit will automatically void future commission amounts to the affiliate until the deficit has been "paid off" by those future commissions.

Chargebacks

Chargebacks follow the same path as refunds; commissions are reversed.

Disputes you win in Stripe do not automatically restore commissions. Contact support if you need a manual correction.

Already-paid commissions

If you already marked paid and a refund arrives:

• Deficit entries appear in the ledger
• You may need to recover funds from the affiliate outside Partnersify
• Review Payouts → History and the affiliate's balance before next payout

Partnersify does not automatically pull money back from affiliates.

Preventing the problem

The best way to avoid paying commissions on refunded sales is setting a sufficient payout delay: 60 days clears most refund windows. Configure it in Portal.
