Running a Successful Campaign
A campaign only works if your affiliates know about it. Partnersify doesn't notify affiliates automatically when you start a campaign — you need to reach out. Here's how to make the most of it.
Announce via email the day it starts
The single most effective thing you can do is send an email to your affiliates the same day the campaign goes live.
Affiliates have lists, audiences, and channels ready to go. They just need a reason to post. A time-limited rate boost gives them that reason. An email that arrives after the campaign has been running for a week misses the momentum.
What to include in your campaign announcement:
- The boosted rate (e.g. "Earn 40% instead of 20% this week")
- The exact end date and time
- A direct link to their affiliate dashboard where they can grab their referral link
- A suggested caption or post they can share with one click
The last point matters. The easier you make it to promote, the more likely they'll do it.
Use the portal countdown banner
Enable the countdown banner in your campaign's Portal settings. Affiliates who log in during the campaign see how many days are left. It creates urgency without you doing anything extra.
Set a rate that's worth promoting
A campaign with a 21% rate when your standard rate is 20% won't excite anyone. Make the boost meaningful enough that affiliates actively want to mention it.
A good starting point: 1.5–2x your standard rate for the campaign duration. For a one-week push, even 2x is sustainable, without changing your permanent terms.
Keep the window short
Shorter campaigns convert better. A 5–7 day campaign creates more urgency than a 30-day one. Affiliates are more likely to send their email or post on the same day when they know time is running out.
Check results in Sales
While the campaign is running, check Sales filtered to the campaign period. You'll see which affiliates are driving sales and at what volume.
After the campaign ends, compare:
- Referred revenue during the campaign vs the same period the previous month
- Which affiliates sent traffic vs who converted
- Whether any affiliates who were inactive before the campaign re-engaged
Use this data to decide whether to run the campaign again next quarter, or to make the higher rate permanent for your best performers.
